Dear Family and Friends,
It is so hard for me to say no when someone asks me for my help. I am sure when I received a call from the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Telethon campaign assistant, they assumed my business was a corporation and it would be fairly easy for me to raise donations. Over the past two years I have been busy trying to keep my business and life in order and putting off the needs of the MDA. What I have come to realize is that it doesn't matter how small my business is, but the fact that I can help them with all of your support. I have been asked to help raise money for children with neuromuscular diseases that will fund camps they attend, clinic costs, the fight against muscular dystrophy and more. I have set a goal of reaching $2,400.00, and I have little less then a month to help raise it. I am looking for your support to help me reach my goal.
As a sponsor, I will be going behind bars for “Good”, and I will be serving my time in the MDA jail on August 7th at The Melting Pot in Fort Collins, Colorado. I will need your help to raise my bail before then. Of course, I am not actually going to jail and you are not actually bailing me out, but you will be helping over 1,500 families in Colorado who are served by the Rocky Mountain MDA.
Here are the ways your tax deductible donation will help local MDA families: $85 sponsors one minute of ground-breaking research, $100 funds a support group session for MDA families, $200 covers the cost of an initial diagnostic clinic visit, $500 supports the maintenance and repair of a client wheelchair or leg braces and $650 sends one child to a summer camp for a week.
